Forgive yourself and keep moving

Here we are on yet another Sunday evening. Another week has almost come to an end, and maybe you find yourself reflecting on what the last seven days have been like for you. Like any other, I’m sure you woke up on Monday feeling confident that everything was going to go as you had planned! You know what you wanted to do, how you wanted to do it, as well as everything else in between. Your to-do list wasn’t going to know what hit it. But, as it does, maybe life happened and some things got thrown off kilter. Unexpected events came up, and before you know it, Monday, Tuesday, or maybe even several more days have come and gone. You look at your plans in frustration wondering why things can’t just go smoothly all the time. The same may go for your diet, too. In the distraction of everything that’s been going on, food hasn’t exactly been top-notch. If you’ve been feeling down about it, frustrated, or anything else, I just want to tell you one thing: It’s okay. Chest Up

A new workout with Antoine and Lex! It’s moments like these that I’m incredibly grateful for. So often we go about our day without taking the time to stop and recognize just how fortunate we are for so many things we’re given. Just being able to get out of bed to see another day, and having the opportunity to go after my dream is incredible to me. Having the gift of my health and being able to work out on a daily basis is another blessing. To top it off, I’m constantly surrounded by like-minded individuals who understand me, support me, and help make me a better person. You can’t ask for more than that! Take today as another of the many gifts you’ve been given. Try and stop for a second and be thankful for what you’ve got, because trust me, there is so much. And while you’re at it, hit the gym for this amazing training session with somebody and enjoy the gift that is working out. Cheers, my friends! :)

The Power of Affirmation

Did you think that today you would give your absolute all in every way you could? Did you think about how much good there is, and how blessed you were for the opportunities you’ve been given? Did you think about how you knew that, come hell or high water, you were going to become the person you knew you could become? Sometimes we can fall off course, because the easiest thing in the world is to be distracted. There is so much coming at us all the time that without a true laser-focus, deviations are par for the course.  When this happens, it can sometimes seem like the end goal is even further away.
