Of course, your epic 30 Day Shred isn’t complete without a couple tools of the trade that can help boost your fat burning capacity even more!
Here I’m going to show you my go-to supps when I’m leaning out. There’s nothing magical here — just the things I’ve found work for me, and that’s why I’ve been using them for years during my cuts with awesome results.

This is a great place to start. A classic staple of my cutting stack, L-carnitine is a natural dietary supplement. Increased levels of carnitine in your body increases the rate at which fat is burned.
The reason L-carnitine is so naturally potent is because it’s responsible for transportation of fatty acids into cells to be used for your body’s energy. That’s why increasing your carnitine levels improves your performance, too. Lactic acid buildup is reduced, and you’ll be sparing glycogen reserves.
It stands for conjugated linoleic acid, and helps to resist lipoprotein lipase from storing fat in your body. With it also helping to maintain lean muscle mass, it’s very easy to see why I always use it during a cut!
Like L-carnitine, CLA will also assist in improved energy levels, but it’ll also help boost your immune system too.

A product exclusively made by Beyond Yourself, AMRAP has been my go-to intra-workout drink for years. It’s a great way to get my BCAAs without having to choke them down because it tastes so great!
But besides that, it’s got several benefits that make it a valuable addition to my stack. It stimulates fat loss and increases energy with its inclusion of L-carnitine, as well as aiding in supporting lean muscle growth and reduced soreness.

I want to start off by saying that this, like everything else, is in moderation! You may have heard about the benefits green tea and coffee can have regarding the rate of fatty acid metabolism, but they also contain caffeine — and you don’t want too much of that!
I try and keep my caffeine content limited to about 300-400 mg per day. That gives me the leeway to have my pre-workout (yay!), a small coffee and tea. No more than that though!
Here’s the thing. Caffeine can be a valuable addition to your fat-burning initiative. However, its potency is at its peak in individuals who aren’t accustomed to it. That’s why, like any other stimulants, you should cycle your caffeine usage. I’ll slowly drop mine over time, so that when I reintroduce it into my body, I can feel the effects of it all over again.

This one might surprise you, but I’ve been using cinnamon for years — not just for its delicious taste on oats, but for its naturally occurring antioxidants (cinnamon actually outranks antioxidant activity compared to “superfoods” like garlic and oregano!), and its ability to assist in the assimilation of carbs. The more you can use for energy, the less that are being stored as fat. It’s a no-brainer!
The idea here was to give you a specific look into my supplement stack for cutting; my main go-to products. But there’s a lot more to think about for what you might want in your stack — much, much more!
So, for your convenience and for some further reading, I’ve prepared a very straightforward guide for you.
I call it Supplements: The Bottom Line. In it, I go over every major supplement in detail, so you can learn the ins and outs of the most common ones you’ll come across, how you should take everything, when you should take anything, and what you can expect when paying for these things.
It’s all yours, absolutely free. So give it a download, and enjoy the read!
Stay shredded my friends!
